North Unit

  • The refuge will close to all deer hunting when the White River gauge at St. Charles reaches 23 feet as reported by the following website; http://www.srh.noaa.gov/lzk/html/whitervr.htm. Season will reopen when the gauge reading reaches 21 feet as reported by the same website.

South Unit

  • The refuge will close to all deer hunting when the White River gauge at St. Charles reaches 23 feet and the tailwater gauge reading at Lock and Dam #1 reaches 145 simultaneously as reported by the following website; http://www.srh.noaa.gov/lzk/html/whitervr.htm. Season will reopen when the gauge reading reaches 21 and 143 feet respectively as reported by same website.
