Check Stations

During the muzzleloader and modern gun quota hunts, refuge staff will collect biological data at the following locations: Smokehouse Hill, South Boundary of White River Levee, North Unit Road, and Jacks Bay Road. Collection of this information is needed for deer management decisions.

For all deer and turkey harvested on the refuge, the hunter will immediately (prior to moving the animal) complete the hunting license kill information using 660 as zone of kill and use the same number at official state check stations as zone of kill.
