Volunteer Information
Over 5,000 hours of time is donated every year to Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge by concerned citizens who want to make a difference. The majority of the hours are spent with Visitor Center operations, trail maintenance, litter removal, environmental education, staffing off-site exhibits, conducting interpretive programs, and providing assistance with Summer Day Camps. Other possible volunteer positions are available. If you want to give back to your community and help protect wildlife now and in the future, contact
