Wildlife Observation Platform

A Wildlife Observation Platform is located on the north side of the Refuge and offers visitors an elevated view of the Beaverdam Peninsula, an area of the Refuge managed primarily for geese and sandhill cranes.
Directions:
To reach the platform, take I-65 north to I-565 and travel east towards Huntsville. Take exit 3( Greenbrier Road) and turn right. Continue south until you see Pryor Road on the right. Take Pryor Road until you reach a sharp right turn. Go straight instead of turning. Immediately turn left onto a dirt road. You will see the platform in the field to your right.
