Alabama Federal Junior Duck Stamp Contest:
Wheeler NWR is the state receiving site for the Alabama Federal Junior Duck Stamp Contest. The partnership among the Refuge, the Alabama Wildlife Federation (AWF), and the Alabama Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries continues to produce an exciting contest annually.

Yearly entries for the contest are approximately 400. Plaques, art supplies, ribbons, and an awards luncheon are some of the awards associated with the contest. Participants must be school age (K-12) and live in Alabama. For further information and a downloadable Junior Duck Stamp Curriculum Guide visit the official Junior Duck Stamp Contest Website.
