About UsDungeness National Wildlife Refuge was established on January 20, 1915 and is part of the Washington Maritime National Wildlife Refuge Complex. This management area consists of six refuges; Copalis NWR, Dungeness NWR, Flattery Rocks NWR, Protection Island NWR, Quillayute Needles NWR, and San Juan Islands NWR.
