ADMINISTRATION
We are a team of administrative professionals providing assistance to the biological staff in human resources, secretarial support, space and property management, vehicle management, and records management (including requests for information and records under the Freedom of Information Act).
Our primary goal is to enhance the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service mission by providing the administrative services that support the work of the biological staff. Our team includes administrative staff in Lacey, Spokane, and Wenatchee.
BUDGET
The Budget Program is responsible for the formulation, execution, and tracking of the station budgets including those of two field offices in Spokane and Wenatchee. The budget staff provides guidance, reporting and financial actions including processing accounts payable and receivable transactions, processing of micro purchases, financial assistance agreements, and procurement contracts.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY MANAGEMENT (IT)
The Information Technology Management (IT) staff provides implementation of Regional/National initiatives and strategies, management, coordination, and supports the application of information technologies in computer, networks, systems administration and messaging, telecommunications, information technology security, and help desk support.
The primary goal is to enhance the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service mission accomplishment by improving the application of information technologies, information stewardship, and support services to field office personnel.
The IT program is responsible for maintaining and enhancing management of the Washington state-wide information resources and technology, providing customer support, developing policies, optimizing procedures, and giving guidance in support of the Service's mission.
GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEM (GIS)
The Geographic Information System (GIS) staff provides coordination and implementation of GIS policies and guidance for the State of Washington. GIS staff also provides major GIS analysis and modeling processes, maintains GIS software and hardware systems, and develops and maintains GIS data libraries.
Our staff also provides support and training of GIS users for web/desktop applications.
