Hunting Information at Waccamaw NWR

The Refuge offers deer, squirrel, raccoon, waterfowl, snipe, and hog hunts. Hunting seasons are set annually and generally run from September through March. A hunting brochure is required by anyone hunting and is free of charge. Hunting on dedicated public use areas such as the Cox Ferry Lake recreation Area and the Yauhannah Bluff Tracts are prohibited. Other nature trails may be closed during Refuge hunts.
