Atchafalaya NWR Housing is at SE LA Refuges Complex headquarters in Lacombe, LA. The complex has five RV pads with cement patios and full hook ups (water, electric, sewer and propane from local store). Amenities include community washer/dryer building, gas grill and picnic pavilion. Pets are allowed but must be under control at ALL times. One month minimum commitment and at least three, eight hour days for couples and four, eight hour days for individuals. Most work takes place on Bayou Sauvage, Big Branch Marsh and Bogue Chitto NWRs.
Bayou Cocodrie NWR Housing is available in a small camp house located on the Wallace Lake Unit near the community of Monterey, LA.  It is a two bedroom facility with full bathroom, stove, refrigerator, microwave and most kitchen utensils.  Minimum stay is 30 days; Maximum stay is 90 days; 24 hrs per week per person per couple; 32 hrs per week for individual (318) 336-7119

All volunteers have 24-hour access to the Bosque Lounge which includes free laundry facilities with the detergent provided, an ice machine, extra freezer and refrigerator space, a full kitchen with cooking and baking utensils, pool table, piano, book and puzzle lending library, gas BBQ grill and a small dry sauna.
We are not able to offer meal reimbursement, stipends, fuel reimbursement or living allowances at this refuge.

Big Branch Marsh NWR Housing is at SE LA Refuges Complex headquarters in Lacombe, LA. The complex has five RV pads with cement patios and full hook ups (water, electric, sewer and propane from local store). Amenities include community washer/dryer building, gas grill and picnic pavilion. Pets are allowed but must be under control at ALL times. One month minimum commitment and at least three, eight hour days for couples and four, eight hour days for individuals. Most work takes place on Bayou Sauvage, Big Branch Marsh and Bogue Chitto NWRs.
