The Utah Fish and Wildlife Management Assistance Office provides technical assistance to the Southern Ute Tribe of southwestern Colorado, the Northern Ute Tribe in northeastern Utah, the Paiute Tribe in southwestern Utah, and the Goshute Tribes of Nevada and Utah. Technical assistance activities consist of working closely with the U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs and Indian Tribes to better manage tribal fishery and wildlife resources. The Office also provides technical assistance to Hill Air Force Base, Ouray National Wildlife Refuge, Jones Hole National Fish Hatchery, and the Upper Colorado River Endangered Fishes Recovery Program. |
