  • Be sure to check out the information kiosks before heading out on the trails.

  • Trails are for walking only.  To minimize disturbance to wildlife, no bicycling, jogging, or running. 

  • Pets are not allowed on the refuge.  They disturb wildlife and will scare animals away even before you get a chance to see them.

  • The refuge is open daily from dawn to dusk.

  •  No hunting or fishing opportunites exist on the refuge.

Come visit and explore our new exhibits, non-profit nature store, and our indoor and outdoor viewing areas.  Learn about the history of the Tualatin River, the people who have come here over the years, and the land that is now part of Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge. Learn about the refuge's wildlife and habitats and how they are part of the National Wildlife Refuge System. 

 

 

 

 

The Wildlife Center is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. -- 4:00 p.m and closed on Mondays.

Weekend hours are extended to 10:00 a.m. -- 5:00 p.m. from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.

Coming during the holidays?  See schedule below or call 503-625-5945 for holiday hours. Occasional severe winter weather keeps our volunteers at home, so call ahead if in doubt.  Volunteers are ready to welcome you and answer your questions.

Special 2009 Holiday Hours

The Wildlife Center will be closed the following days in November, December, and January. (The refuge trails remain open daily.)

  • All Mondays
  • Wednesday, November 25th
  • Thursday, November 26th (Thanksgiving Day)
  • Wednesday, December 23rd  OPEN 10:00am-1:00pm; closed at 1:00pm
  • Thursday, December 24th (Christmas Eve)
  • Thursday, December 25th (Christmas Day)
  • Monday, December 28th through Monday, January 4th (New Year's Break)

We will resume our regular schedule on Tuesday January 5th. 

 

 

Be sure to visit Nature's Overlook--a non-profit nature store operated by Friends of the Refuge.
