Threatened and Endangered Species

Twenty-one species, eleven endangered and ten threatened, are federally listed in the state of Louisiana. Three of these species have been reported on Lacassine National Wildlife Refuge. Bald eagles (threatened), and the Louisiana black bear (threatened) are all occasional visitors to the refuge.
