Partnerships make it happen!

Stone Lakes NWR operates with support from many partners and supporting agencies. Partnerships with agencies that have lands or interests within the refuge boundary form the foundation of our habitat management programs. Some of our closest partners are:

Sacramento-Yolo Mosquito and Vector Control District bird-banding on refuge

The refuge also works closely with many other organizations, including:

In addition, the refuge proudly partners with local schools, colleges, communities, private land owners, and private citizens for conservation and resource educational programs.

The refuge is also actively supported by a large friends group, Stone Lakes NWR Association. The Association is administered by a volunteer Board of Directors and manages a refuge endowment and memberships, a quarterly newsletter, and supports many volunteer and educational programs. For more information on supporting the Association please call (916) 775-4418, or visit their website: www.stonelakes.org
