Special Announcement The Weather Channel's Forecast Earth would like to invite high school students to be part of the 2nd Annual Forecast Earth Summit, December 5-7, in Washington, D.C. Students - freshmen, sophomores, and juniors during the 2008-09 school year are eligible and must submit a 200-word essay outlining what they are personally doing to combat climate change. From the entries, 20 students will be selected to take part in The Weather Channel's Forecast Earth Summit. The three-day event will focus on promoting environmental literacy among the high school audience and will afford selected students the opportunity to talk with environmental leaders, scientists, and other students.
