About Alejandro Morales

I am Sicangu Lakota (Rosebud Sioux) tribal member, I come from the Fast Horse family from Oyate Sica (Bad Nation). I started as a Pathways intern in the Great Lakes External Affairs office in 2012. My work includes story telling around Tribal partnerships, co-instruct the Building Effective Tribal Relations training course and pitching stories about partnerships with private landowners to non-traditional and rural media outlets in the Great Lakes Region. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Native Environmental Science from the Northwest Indian College. My undergraduate research studied how to intensify plant dyes with the use of mordants on traditional Native American regalia items. A typical millennial, I love being on the internet and keeping up with pop culture. I also like to follow the solo careers of former One Direction members. Final note, I care about this world and all who walk on it and no one should lose their life to suicide. I am a volunteer Crisis Counselor.
