Youth Related Environmental Education |
The youth component of the Refuge EE Program maintains the largest number of participants, averaging 8,000 students per year. Most Youth programs are conducted from the Environmental Education Center at Quanah Parker Lake, and consist primarily of public school classes from the surrounding region, although home-schools, scout troops, youth groups, parochial schools and other entities also benefit from the programs. A variety of workshops give children opportunities to learn about and gain a deep appreciation for the natural world, and to creatively express their experiences through a variety of artistic media.
Contact the Refuge's Environmental Education Section for reservations or information.
