Doris Campground Group Sites

Doris Campground Group Sites

A group site shelter.

A map of Doris Campground is available online, or you will be given one on your arrival to the camping area.

Pets are welcome! Please keep your pet on a leash (10 foot or less) with one end of the leash secured. All livestock are prohibited.

Three Group Campsites are available which will accommodate group campers with tent or recreational vehicles. Group Sites A and B have shelters with electricity inside the shelter and may be reserved by contacting Refuge Headquarters for a fee of $36.00 per night. Group Site C is available for reservation at a rate of $24.00 per night and does not have either shelter or electricity. Please make note of the new rates, effective January 1, 2007.

Also available is bagged ice ($1.75/bag), firewood ($4.00/bundle) and soda ($0.75/can). Shower fees for non-campers is $2.00.

Group sites may be reserved by groups of between 8 and 30 people per site. Reservations for the Group sites may be made up to 3 months in advance. The maximum number of motor vehicles, recreational vehicles, and trailers per group camping sites shall not exceed a combination of eight (8). Extra vehicles shall be parked in the visitor parking lot near the campground entrance. All Refuge Regulations apply while camping at Doris Campground.

Campground Hours (gates are open):

  • April 1 - October 31
    Sunday through Thursday 8:00 - 10:00
    Friday and Saturday 8:00 - 11:00
  • November 1 - March 31
    Sunday through Thursday 8:00 - 8:00
    Friday and Saturday 8:00 - 10:00

Campsites must be vacated by 3 pm of the day camping permit expires unless the permit is renewed before 2 pm consistent with occupancy and/or availability. After 3 pm, another day will be charged.
