| San Andres National Wildlife Refuge Office Location |
The Refuge office is located 10 miles east from the I-25 and Highway 70 intersection (Exit 6) in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The office is located on the north side of Highway 70. The Refuge itself, is another 15 miles northeast of the office. There is no public access on the Refuge due to its location within the secure, military weapons testing facility of White Sands Missile Range.

The primary hours of operation for the staff office building is 7:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Thursday and 7:30 am to 3:30 pm on Fridays. The office is closed
on weekends and federal Holidays. Due to our small staff, it is recommended that
you call prior to arriving to assure that someone is available to provide assistance. |

| San Andres National Wildlife Refuge was recognized by the U.S. Department of Energy
with
a
2008 Federal Energy and Water Management Award. The Refuge was honored
for their
efficient use of wind and water natural resources. The Refuge is an area leader
in hybrid
solar photovoltaic and wind energy systems. |
