Visitors
Visitors are welcome at Alchesay and Williams Creek. Picnic facilities, rest rooms, and interpretative displays are available. Wildlife is abundant at both hatcheries. Reservation permits are required when camping or fishing on Indian lands. These may be purchased in the nearby town of Whiteriver or surrounding areas.

Take AZ-73E, travel 3.6 miles
Turn right
onto Indian Route 61/N. Alchesay Fish Hatchery Rd, travel 4.6 miles
Williams Creek
Williams Creek NFH Rd, Pinetop, AZ
From Pinetop, AZ:
Head east on AZ-260 E/E White Mountain Blvd for 2 miles to the Hon-Dah junction
Turn right (South) onto AZ-73 and travel 4.2 miles
Turn left onto Indian Route 69 (Williams Creek NFH Rd) and travel 8.0 miles
Follow the paced road which goes directly into the hatchery entrance
Tours
General hatchery tours are self-guided at both facilities. Some areas of both facilities are accessible for people with disabilities. Guided hatchery tours may also be arranged for large groups or organizations by advance request. There are guest logs and visitor information available at each station. For questions or arrangements contact either hatchery at (928) 338-4901 or (928) 334-2346.
Unguided tours using the nature trail and interpretive signs may be enjoyed during the normal visitor center hours listed above.
