Hunter Education |
|||
OklahomaHunting-related accidents and fatalities have declined dramatically in Oklahoma, thanks to more than 30 years of hunter education classes offered through the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation. All individuals born after 1972 who wish to hunt in Oklahoma must complete a 10-hour Hunter Education class or Home Study Course.
TexasTexas Parks and Wildlife's Hunter Education Program stresses developing good hunting skills as well as responsible, safe bow and firearm handling. Students also learn game management techniques, ethics and wildlife natural history. More than 2,900 game wardens, volunteers and professional educators certify approximately 30,000 hunter education students each year.
