The East Texas Sub-office of the Arlington
Ecological Services Field Office is located in the city of Lufkin, Angelina
County, Texas.
The East Texas Sub-office is responsible for
working toward the accomplishment of the goals of the East Texas Ecosystem plan
through:
Red-cockaded woodpecker (endangered species) recovery in east Texas;
Private Lands Wildlife Habitat Restoration and Enhancement;
Liaison with the National Forests and Grasslands in Texas; and
Endangered Species technical assistance and guidance.
