The East Texas Sub-office of the Arlington Ecological Services Field Office is located in the city of Lufkin, Angelina County, Texas.

The East Texas Sub-office is responsible for working toward the accomplishment of the goals of the East Texas Ecosystem plan through:

Bullet for listing purposes    Red-cockaded woodpecker (endangered species) recovery in east Texas;
Bullet for listing purposes    Private Lands Wildlife Habitat Restoration and Enhancement;
Bullet for listing purposes    Liaison with the National Forests and Grasslands in Texas; and
Bullet for listing purposes    Endangered Species technical assistance and guidance.
