Technical Questions

  • How can I view the documents posted in the Document Library?

All the documents posted on this web site are in Adobe Acrobat format.  To view them, you'll need the free Adobe Acrobat Reader.  Click here to download and install it on your PC.
  • How can I get the Arizona Species/County lists?  How can I view them?
Click on the Threatened & Endangered button, scroll down the Threatened and Endangered Species page and you'll see an Arizona counties map and a list of all the Arizona counties.  Simply click on a county or its name, and the species list will appear in a new window.
  • Why does it take so long to download some of the documents?
Some of the documents posted in our Document Library are very large files.  Depending on the speed of your internet connection, downloading some of the larger files could very easily take several hours.  Dialup modem connections are typically the slowest type of  internet connection.  If you routinely download or transfer fairly large size data files, consider upgrading to a higher-speed connection, such as ISDN, Cable, DSL or dedicated data line service.
  • Why does my monitor screen look funny when I access the AESFO web site or why doesn't some of the content display properly on my monitor screen?
This web site was designed and optimized for Java-enabled Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 and higher with a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 and 16-bit color depth.  This is recommended to properly display the content, features and functionality of the site.  An alternate internet browser and lower screen resolution will work.  However, some of the displays and functions might not work as designed.
