Structure of the Recovery Team

The Recovery Team has 3 tiers:
1)  A Technical Team of 8 experts on the frog, its habitat, and conservation biology.

2)  Three Stakeholder Groups (Mogollon Rim – AZ, West-Central New Mexico, and Southeastern AZ/Southwestern NM) of biologists, land managers and owners, ranchers, mining companies, environmental groups, tribes, and others potentially affected by or that have a stake in the recovery program.

3)  Local Working Groups.

The Technical Team provides the scientific and technical expertise needed for biologically sound recovery implementation, the Stakeholder Groups set regional priorities and are also forums for discussing recovery actions and techniques, and the Local Working Groups implement recovery in specific Management Areas or recovery sites.  The makeup of the Technical Team and Stakeholder Groups can be found in pages 106-114 of the Recovery Plan.  Also see the “Contacts” link and the meeting notes and progress reports from these groups in the “Documents and Announcements” link.
