Structure of the Recovery Team |
The Recovery Team has 3 tiers: |
1) A Technical Team of 8 experts on the frog, its habitat, and conservation biology. |
2) Three Steering Committees (Mogollon Rim – AZ, West-Central New Mexico, and Southeastern AZ/Southwestern NM) of biologists, land managers and owners, ranchers, mining companies, environmental groups, tribes, and others potentially affected by or that have a stake in the recovery program. |
3) Local Recovery Groups. |
The Technical Team provides the scientific and technical expertise needed for biologically sound recovery implementation, the Steering Committees set regional priorities and are also forums for discussing recovery actions and techniques, and the Local Recovery Groups implement recovery in specific Management Areas or recovery sites. Click on the Local Recovery Groups a link for more information. The makeup of the Technical Team and Steeting Committees can be found in pages 106-114 of the Recovery Plan. Also see the “Contacts” link and the meeting notes and progress reports from these groups in the “Documents and Announcements” link. |
