The Austin ES field office is the designated lead office responsible for recovery of over 50 species of listed and candidate plants and animals. Much of the information we've placed on the web for each species (federal register notices, recovery plans, five-year reviews, etc.) has been posted to our Environmental Conservation Online System (ECOS). The ECOS link for each species is provided below. As we develop more information, we will add more species and provide additional links next to each species.
Note: These links are provided for informational purposes only and do not include all of the species that occur within our office's area of responsibility. If you need to determine whether you are impacting a species for a specific project, check out our Project Review page.
The mission of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is working with
others to conserve, protect, and enhance fish, wildlife, plants and
their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people.
