Attention Hunters!

All hunt permits are now available online, through Kinsail Corporation. Applications can be completed with credit cards or bill pay online.

You can also print out the application and mail (with a personal check or money order made payable to Kinsail Corporation) to:

Dates:
The 2011 Archery Hunt will be held for nine consecutive days, October 1 - October 9, 2011, for white tail deer and feral hogs. 36,225 acres are open to archery hunting.

The 2011 Rifle Hunt offers 19,668 acres and will be held on the weekends of November 5-6 and 19-20; December 3-4 and 17-18, 2011.

Texas Parks and Wildlife (TPWD) administers public hunts for white-tailed deer, feral hogs, mourning dove and waterfowl on Matagorda Island. For more information about recreational opportunities at the north end of the island, call the TPWD Bay City Office at 979-244-6804 or 979-244-7697.

Fishing Season is open from April 15 - October 15. A fishing pier and five shoreline access points to San Antonio Bay are available to the public during daylight hours only. Wade fishing out from the shoreline is popular.

Bay and surf fishing are permitted year-round at Matagorda Island. For more information about recreational opportunities at the north end of the island, call the TPWD Bay City Office at 979-244-6804 or 979-244-7697.
