Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP)

The Workforce Recruitment Program is a recruitment program for Students with Disabilities. The Department of Labor provides headquarters services for the program, recruits students from colleges and universities nationwide. The Department of Defense, Computer/Electronic Accommodations Program lends adaptive devices, including telecommunications equipment, to any student hired for the summer by any participating agency and makes DOD contracts for sign language interpreter services available to help participating agencies accommodate summer employees.

Projected vacancies should be targeted for the WRP. Students who are currently attending school are hired through the Student Temporary Employment Program (STEP) and if you select a graduate they should be considered for a Schedule A appointment.

The Workforce Recruitment Program for Students with Disabilities is an excellent resource to assist you in achieving Regional goals for hiring persons with disabilities and persons with targeted disabilities.
