My name is Mary Owens and I am the new Youth Ambassador for the St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge and St. Vincent. I am currently a senior at Florida State University (Go Noles!) where I am majoring in Recreation Management and Leisure Service Administration. I have been very fortunate to come across some great opportunities through the program and I’m currently an intern with St. Marks NWR. These opportunities have led me to discover the abundant outdoor recreation opportunities in the Wakulla and Tallahassee area. I hope to help promote some of these great escapes to the surrounding communities and to get more people outside.
On a fun note, when I am not in the office or at school I can be found hiking, biking, with friends, or day dreaming about adventure travel. I recently have gained an interest in kayaking and hope to buy one soon (fingers crossed)!
