*In most cases, to be considered for an internship position, an applicant must be able to stay a minimum of three months. However, in rare cases, slightly shorter internships have been scheduled. Applicants should discuss availability and needs with the appropriate contact person. Internships are volunteer positions; however, housing and a food stipend will be provided. In most cases, applications are accepted continually, with selections being made on specific dates. See individual web sites (links) or contact the selecting official directly to obtain detailed information. Applicants interested in obtaining internships on other Refuges or Hatcheries in Tennessee or the Southeast Region should contact those Refuges directly. To Apply Send resume, at least three references, and describe your background/experience relating to the following:

Forestry management techniques
Wildlife identification and surveys
GPS concepts and applications/general computer skills
Basic plant taxonomy
Public interpretive programs
Canoeing
Operation of ATC's/motor boats
Maintenance (trail and other)
