U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service & Arkansas Game and Fish Commission Invite the Public to Town Hall Meetings for Update on Activities Related to the Ivory-billed Woodpecker

Agency representatives will be discussing the recovery effort, what you can expect, and will be available to answer your questions. The discussion will cover this year’s waterfowl hunting season, public use plans for the managed access area at the Cache River National Wildlife Refuge. The Ivory-billed Woodpecker, thought extinct since it was last seen in the 1940s, was reported in 2005 at the Cache River National Wildlife Refuge with sound recordings at White River National Wildlife Refuge.
