Puerto Rican Parrot Release Postponed Due to Weather Conditions

The release of five captive-bred Puerto Rican parrots into the Caribbean National Forest (El Yunque) will not take place on Thursday morning, May 13, as originally scheduled due to weather conditions. The release is expected to be rescheduled for early next week. For updates, media should call the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Rio Grande Field Office at 787-887-8769.
