Mountain Longleaf NWR is open to the public

The refuge is closed at night.
Access to the refuge is on Bain's Gap Road. Ridge Road, both north and south, is also open to the public. Ridge Road South is in poor condition in places and may not be suitable for passenger cars. Both Ridge Road North and Ridge Road South are steep in places, care should be taken when traversing these roads.
An information kiosk is located at the junction of Bain's Gap Road and Ridge Road South for additional refuge information.
