Habitat Description: The District consists of nine fee title tracts, 37 easements, and six leases for a total of 26, 145 acres. Habitat management focuses primarily on two practices -- reforestation of marginal agricultural areas and the development and maintenance of moist soil units. Over the last several years many areas have been reforested. One unique habitat type is Rector's Prairie adjacent to Handy Brake National Wildlife Refuge.

Opportunities for Public Use: Wildlife Observation and photography. Because of the remoteness of many of these tracts, it is advisable to contact the Complex Headquarters and ask for assistance.
