| The
Port of Memphis was designated on January 5, 2005, and is now the 5th port
located in the Southeast Region. In a joint statement, the legislators said
the wildlife port will be an economic asset for the region. The Port of
Memphis has three offices. The Main office is located next to the United
States Customs and Border Protection Customs House on Tchulahoma and Knight
Arnold Road (currently, this office is under construction and is anticipated
to open in late March). The Airport office is located at Memphis International
Airport, and the third office is located within the FEDEX international
hub.
Imports and exports of wildlife and wildlife products by passenger, airline, rail, shipping, and express delivery services will be inspected by Wildlife Inspectors. It is encouraged that you contact the Port of Memphis at least 48 hours in advance if you intend to import or export, or contact us at the number below should you have any questions.
