on designated areas of the refuge subject to the following regulations
or as otherwise posted:
HUNTING
PERMIT ALLOCATION - New procedures are in place this year for issuing
permits to non-reservation hunters. The daily quota
shall be filled by reservations. Any spaces that remain will be
awarded through a lottery drawing held at 9 p.m. the evening prior to
the hunt. Those arriving after the lottery will be allowed to hunt if
there are spaces available, on a first-come, first-served basis. Permits
can be obtained through the Department of Fish and Game's reservation
and check-station procedures.
- Hunters may possess not more than 25 federally-approved
nontoxic shotgun shells after leaving the parking lot.
- Vehicles may stop only at designated, assigned parking
areas. The dropping of passengers or equipment, or stopping between
designated parking areas is prohibited.
- All permits must be returned immediately upon completion
of your hunt before leaving the refuge vicinity.
