Photography and Wildlife Observation
The terrain and willdife of St. Catherine Creek National Wildlife Refuge offer amateur photographers a wide variety of photographic opportunities. The Refuge contains 5 lakes that provide a wonderful background to any photograph. Freshwater springs dot the landscape, offering a unique setting for plant and amphibious species. Another major photography opportunity lies in the western boundary of the Refuge...the Mississippi River. Always a point of fascination, the River offers a variety of photographic opportunities depending upon the current river level.
