Hunting and Fishing
All those who wish to hunt and/or fish on the refuge must obtain an Annual Use Permit from the Refuge. Permits are available at the Refuge Headquarters and can be purchased in person or by mail. Permits cost $15.00 payable by cash or money order only. Permits are free to those ages 10-15 and 65 and older. There is no hunting allowed for anyone under the age of 10, though children may accompany a parent.
NOTE: As of October 5, 2011, non-exempt permits will be available for purchase ($15.00 cash or money order only) at Sports Center, 305 Sgt. Prentiss Drive, Natchez MS 39120.
Those who need an exempt permit must obtain it from the St. Catherine Creek NWR Headquarters or by calling (601) 442-6696 to request one be mailed to you.
If you would like to purchase an Annual Use Permit by mail, send your full name, address, phone number, and date of birth, along with a money order for the proper amount to: St Catherine Creek National Wildlife Refuge, PO Box 217, Sibley, MS 39165
There are two wheelchair dependent blinds on the refuge that provide hunting access to those who are permanently wheelchair dependent. Wheelchair dependent hunters are required to pre-register at the refuge headquarters prior to hunting the designated blinds.
