Money from Our Office

This office has some discretionary money for endangered species recovery projects. We accept proposals from landowners, researchers and others. We help these people come up with projects and write proposals, and also help secure additional money for the project beyond our own capabilities.

Contact our Recovery Branch at (916) 414-6600 about research or other recovery projects involving sensitive species.

Grants

Grants are available through the CALFED Bay-Delta Program and the Central Valley Project Improvement Conservation and Habitat Restoration Programs to restore aquatic and riparian habitats in California's Bay-Delta and Central Valley region.

Partners for Fish & Wildlife

The Service's Partners for Fish & Wildlife program provides financial and technical assistance to conservation minded farmers, ranchers, and other landowners throughout the state to benefit fish and wildlife on their land.

Private Stewardship Grants

This Service program provides $10 million in federal grants and other assistance to individuals and groups engaged in voluntary conservation efforts on private lands that benefit at-risk species.

Other Federal Money
