Quad Number Lookup

If you know a U.S.G.S. 7½ minute quad name (or part of the name) but not the quad's number, you can look it up here.

Many quads have similar names. Make sure you have the right one. See our instructions on getting quad maps.

You can also use the Quick Viewer to find quads. It was not designed as a quad finder but it works well.

If you need an official species list and letter for endangered species consultation, NEPA, CEQA, etc., see our main species list information page. Pay particular attention to the note about how we make the lists. These are not simply lists of species in an area.
