Comprehensive Assessment & Monitoring Program (CAMP)
Techniques for Monitoring Fish Production
Techniques
Several techniques are used to collect the data we use to develop fish production estimates:
- The following techniques are used to develop production estimates of adult Chinook salmon:
- Mark-recapture surveys are used to develop production estimates of adult striped bass, green sturgeon, and white sturgeon.
- Midwater trawl surveys are used to develop an index of the abundance of juvenile American shad.
- Rotary screw traps are used to develop production estimates of juvenile Chinook salmon.
