The Visitor Center is located by Lake Mary, about one mile north of the south gate at 56th Avenue and Havana.

VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS

Volunteers Learn Through Meetings and WorkshopsAll positions include a mandatory orientation and training session.

Volunteer requirements or expectations vary.

Training programs are offered throughtout the year.

Volunteer work sessions are held as part of the volunteer training program. Volunteers "can be required" to attend regularly scheduled meetings if necessary for their postion.

The minimum age to volunteer is 16. (Exceptions are granted for those involved in planned Boy Scout and Girl Scout activities.)

Volunteers under the age of 18 must obtain written permission from their parent or guardian to perform volunteer activities. A Parental / guardian approval form will be provided for this purpose.
