Ridgefield NWR - 2011/2012 Waterfowl Season Summary

This year's duck season harvested a total of 2,950ducks during 1,835 hunter visits. The average number of ducks per hunter was 1.6. The primary duck species harvested are as follows: Northern Shoveler (34%), Northern Pintail (23%), Mallard (16%), American Wigeon (7%), and Green Wing Teal (4%). A total of 129 geese were harvested from the Refuge.
