Welcome Friends!

We are excited to announce the 2010 Friends Workshop for Region 1. The workshop will be held April 23-25 in Newport, Oregon. This is a terrific venue to discover what other Refuges and Friends groups are doing around the Region! Newport offers great food, fishing, beaches, birding, aquarium, and hiking and it is also the headquarters of and gateway to the Oregon Coast National Wildlife Refuge Complex. This is a great opportunity to make Friends, share with Friends, attend educational sessions and even explore tide pools on the Oregon Coast.

A Special Thank You

The Friends Organization hosting this event is called the Shoreline Education for Awareness (SEA), which is the Friends of the Southern Oregon Coastal Refuges. SEA has been invaluable with event logistics, planning, and coordination. Also a special thanks to the staff of the Oregon Coast National Wildlife Refuge Complex for their help in putting together a great workshop. For more information about SEA follow this link: SEA.
