Education
Access to Franz Lake National Wildlife Refuge is generally limited
to research and management activities. The refuge is not served
by a public road and access routes are not maintained for passenger
vehicles. Given these limitations, Franz Lake does not host educational
visits or programming. Educational programs are available at the
Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge, which serves as the Complex
Office for the Franz Lake National Wildlife Refuge. Education programming
is also currently being planned for the Steigerwald Lake National
Wildlife Refuge.
