the Refuge Manager Directions to the Office: From I-5, take Exit 14, go 3 miles west into the town of Ridgefield and take a right on Main Avenue. The office is approximately one mile north in the parking lot of the Carty Unit. Directions to the Waterfowl Hunt Area (Follow signage to the River 'S' Unit): From I-5, take Exit 14, go west, take a left on 9th Avenue, at the summit of the hill turn right at the refuge sign, go down the hill, cross the bridge, continue along the Auto Tour Route, a large brown gate allows access from the Tour Route to the waterfowl hunting area on hunting days.
