BIRCH POINT TRAIL

Trail Information

  • Length: 4.13 Miles
  • Grade: Gentle
    • GENTLE SLOPE: average slope 0% to 5%
    • MODERATE SLOPE: average slope 5% to 8%
    • STEEP SLOPE: slope of 8% or more
  • Cross Slope: 1.4
    • Cross slope is the grade that is perpendicular to the direction of the trail. Cross slope information is most useful to wheelchair users. Wheelchairs are very difficult to drive or maneuver on steep cross slopes. A cross slope of less than 3% provides maximum accessibility.
  • Surface: Native/boardwalks

COREA HEATH TRAIL

  • Observation platform overlooking heath
  • Rare views of coastal plateau bog



HOLLINGSWORTH TRAIL

  • Length: 1.64 Miles
  • Grade: Gentle
    • GENTLE SLOPE: average slope 0% to 5%
    • MODERATE SLOPE: average slope 5% to 8%
    • STEEP SLOPE: slope of 8% or more
  • Cross Slope: 1.7

  • Winds through conifer forest
  • 2 observation platforms overlooking saltmarsh
  • Bald eagles, waterfowl, shorebirds
  • Blue blazes mark nearby 1.6 mi trail maintained by Frenchman Bay Conservancy
