CANOE TRAIL

    • GENTLE SLOPE: average slope 0% to 5%
    • MODERATE SLOPE: average slope 5% to 8%
    • STEEP SLOPE: slope of 8% or more

Special Features

  • Launch non-motorized vessel from refuge launch
  • Cattail marsh to cottonwood/willow forest
  • Fishing, photography, wildlife observation



DELTA TRAIL

  • Length: 0.2 Miles
  • Grade: Moderate
    • GENTLE SLOPE: average slope 0% to 5%
    • MODERATE SLOPE: average slope 5% to 8%
    • STEEP SLOPE: slope of 8% or more
  • Surface: Loose rock and sand

Special Features

  • Located at pulloff just north of visitor center
  • Great views of Bill Wiloiams River and Lake Havasu
  • Excellent birding opportunities



PENINSULA TRAIL

  • Surface: Paved to gravel

  • Interpretive panels first 1/4 mile
  • Ramadas, benches, access to fishing/observation docks
  • 40 labeled plant species
  • End of trail - bench/scenic view (great heron nest on Heron Island)
