Interpretation
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service currently does not offer any interpretive facilities or programs at Thacher Island Refuge. However, in cooperation with the Thacher Island Association, the North Tower, one of two 123-foot granite lighthouses on the island, has been restored and is periodically open to the public. This non-profit assocation also offers limited on-site, off-refuge overnight accommodations. Contact the Association at Box 73, Rockport, MA 01966, http://www.thacherisland.org.

Wildlife Observation
A foot trail meanders through shrub/thicket, rocky outcrop and other island habitats and affords opportunities to observe and/or photograph birds and other island and offshore wildlife.

Hours
The refuge is open daily from sunrise to sunset but is subject to temporary closures.

Entrance Fees
There are no refuge entrance fees.
