  Recreation and Education Opportunities

Environmental Education
In partnership with the Narrow River Preservation association, several opportunities for environmental education exist. "River Days" is an annual summer event which includes a fun run, canoe tours, and stops along the Narrow River.

The refuge supports environmental education for our local schoolchildren in the form of guided field tours and classroom activities.

Fishing
The refuge is open to fishing for a variety of saltwater species, and is very popular with the local fishermen.

Wildlife Observation
The refuge lies within one of the most scenic areas of Southern Rhode Island, and is blessed with a variety of wildlife species. Bring your canoe or kayak for the best viewing opportunities.

Hours
The refuge is open from sunrise to sunset each day.
