 The refuge is open for environmental education by advanced reservation only. The Refuge is staffed only part time and there are currently no public use facilities. With prior arrangements, staff can meet onsite with teachers and students for environmental education field trips and interpretive events.  The Refuge is closed to fishing.  The Refuge conducts an annual hunting program for white-tailed deer during October and November each year. Bow, muzzleloader and shotgun hunting opportunities are available on a registration basis. Season dates vary annually; call the Refuge headquarters in late summer for exact dates or visit the Refuge's official website.  The refuge is open for interpretive events by advanced reservation only. The Refuge is staffed only part time and there are currently no public use facilities. With prior arrangements, staff can meet onsite with teachers and students for environmental education field trips and interpretive events.  The refuge is open for photography by advanced reservation only. The Refuge is staffed only part time and there are currently no public use facilities. Old logging trails may be used for access for wildlife observation and photography.

 There is no entrance fee to visit the refuge. |
